All of these beautiful things make me really sad that DC will probably never have the balls to actually make these canon.

Well, I’ll be optimistic. DC probably won’t ANYTIME SOON but I’m hoping they’ll eventually have to get with the times and realize that a little bit of risk taking with better representation isn’t going to kill them.

Lies and deceit. Clearly appealing to alternative groups would kill their circulation. People would stop reading books if there were gay or lesbian superheroes (wait) or minority heroes taking up the legacy (wait) or goodness gracious me both.

Because The Question never sold any books (okay, she never had her own series, it’s not like DC ever bothered to test that one), Connor Hawke’s GA series bombed (despite him finding appeal among a large group of fans), Blue Beetle with Jaime did SO badly in the sales (I’m not even sure if I’m being sarcastic here, did it? I suppose it had to be cancelled for a reason…) no one would ever buy Batwoman, etc etc etc.

No, see, I’ve figured it out. DC hates money. It’s the only logical explanation for why we have Red Hood and the Outlaws, the terrible Teen Titans run, that even worse Green Arrow run, and the majority of the rest of the DCnU, but a lack of actual decent amounts of diversity and alternate sexual orientations/gender identification.

Also no Wally or Ted or Connor or Mia or Rip Hunter or a million awesome characters. :I

Can I run into Marvel’s arms now?

A story that makes me smile.

There are a lot of these so I’ll just tell you about my adorable elementary school ‘boyfriend.’

We used to have these weekly trips to the library and there was a guy who I was really close friends with in fourth and fifth grade. One day we’re at the library, grabbing books, and he pulls me over to a corner and hands me this book he knew I’ve been wanting to read but had a long hold list and then asks if I’d be his girlfriend and maybe hold his hand once in a while. It was super adorable.

Austria! Austria is my favorite place on the planet and I love it there, not to mention I have family there that I would love to see. Going to Austria with friends would be perfect, probably starting at Vienna and hitting up Salzburg at some point for some calm, beautiful atmosphere.
